Company Background

GP Industries Limited is an international manufacturing and marketing group in the electronics and batteries industries.

GP Industries is engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of a wide range of products including electronics and components, acoustics, cables and wire harness. It also has investments in other businesses.

The Company has been listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST") since 1995. It is the main industrial investment vehicle of Hong Kong-listed Gold Peak Industries (Holdings) Limited which currently owns an approximately 78%* interest in the Company.

GP Industries currently holds an approximately 50%* interest in GP Batteries International Limited, which has been listed on the SGX since 1991. GP Batteries is engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of batteries and related products. It supplies an extensive range of battery products to original equipment manufacturers, leading battery companies as well as consumer retail markets under its own GP brand name.

GP Industries holds a 100% interest in GP Industries Marketing Limited, which is engaged in the marketing and trading of parts and components, and personal hygiene and health care products.

The Group has a strong and extensive manufacturing and distribution network spanning over 10 countries, including a strong foothold in China. Excluding associates, the Group currently employs over 2,600 people and occupies a total floor area of approximately 123,000 square metres.
